Our Inpatient Services

Although most pregnancy complications may be managed in the outpatient setting at scheduled appointments, other problems occur unexpectedly and require inpatient hospitalization and timely attention. For such occurrences, Drs. Traynor and Won are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to accept maternal transports from surrounding community hospitals that require subspecialty care for any complications that may arise. Drs. Traynor and Won also provide consultative and diagnostic perinatal support for the obstetrical staff of John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek.

Maternal Transports

At our 20 week regular appointment, we were given the devastating news that the amnionic sac was torn and our baby had little amniotic fluid in which to breath and grow. Amidst all of this Dr. Traynor carefully and gently helped us to understand our options and the possible outcomes. Unlike every other doctor I have seen, Dr. Traynor spent many hours with us, over several weeks, until we came to our decision: to continue with the pregnancy. During the following months, including a six-week hospital stay, Dr. Traynor and his staff were always available for any questions or concerns we had. With a combination of professionalism, positive attitude, and pure friendliness, Dr. Traynor carefully led us through a long and difficult journey, even after our miracle boy was born.
